Oh, the heartburn!

If it's true what they say about how much hair your baby will have according to how bad your heartburn is, then this girl should have quite a bit of hair when she arrives. Sweet Jesus! Lately, it's gotten worse. I've never really experience heartburn before until now. I had to invest in a bottle of Tums to help. It's mostly if I eat something spicy/greasy/acidic. I made the mistake of having a cup of chili the other day for lunch and about halfway through the cup I realized what I had done. Before I even finished my lunch the heartburn had started to set in! Gahhh! My husband just don't realize!! Lol! He chuckles any time I complain of heartburn or if I jump because the baby has kicked me good and hard.

I'm starting to get real tired all over again. It seems to set in after lunch every day. About 12:30-1:30pm. I get so dang tired and sleepy, I could just lay down and go straight to sleep! I wish I could most days. Then I get home after work and am wide awake until I finally get settled into the recliner. I've been trying to get to sleep a little earlier the past few nights. Doesn't always happen.

Tomorrow makes 26 weeks! Jeez oh Pete! We're almost to 30 weeks, then we will really be counting down the weeks! Me and hubby were laying in the bed yesterday after work and I was telling him how crazy it was that she could be here in 2 months. She would be a little early, but she could come at any time! To think that in 10 weeks I'll be 36 weeks already. MANY babies have come by that time and are perfectly fine. I'd rather her stay in as long as she can though, obviously. It's just wild to think about. We have GOT to get a move on the nursery! Hopefully, we can go get the paint and stuff these next couple weeks and get started. Still gotta get the crib re-ordered, but it shouldn't take long to come once it's bought. Guess I need to light a fire under hubby's butt!

I'm 8 weeks and now that the all day sickness is starting to get better, now everything gives me heartburn lol. It'll all be worth it in the end though. I'm gonna try Tums, haven't had much luck with antacids in the past, suffered with acid reflux throughout my teen years and was on meds for it, but haven't had too many issues with it in my 20s til now. I haven't missed this lol. At least there's a good reason for it happening this time =)

I know how miserable heartburn can be! I wish the hair thing was true...but I had awful heartburn with my first, and he's just now growing hair at 16 months old! I've got it again with this one, and I'm anticipating another bald baby lol! Either way, your little girl will be beautiful! Hang in there!

I hope she has some hair. I was kinda bald and I think my hubby was a little bald too. I want to be able to put clippy bows in her hair! Lol

My little girl had a head full of thick black hair when she was born and I had no heartburn whatsoever. Lol. I was a bald baby and my husband had a tiny bit when he was born so we were very surprised at how much she had.

Yikes. I don't take them every day, and when I feel the heartburn coming on I try to just take 1 and see if it helps any and if it doesn't I'll take another. But I really don't like putting anything medication wise in my body right now. Not even Tylenol that they say is okay. I just try to tough it out if I can.

I hear you with the heart burn. I've been trying to stay away from the TUMS. I'm convinced that they contributed to the calcification of my placenta with my DS. I eat a banana when I feel the burn and it seems to clear up in 1/2 an hour.

I had horrendous heartburn with both of my boys and they were both bald until they were two lol. I've read about the science behind heartburn and hairy babies but it didn't seem to do much for my boys. I once again have heartburn all the time. All the zantac and tums in the world doesn't seem to help. I'm strongly hoping the science comes through for the both of us this time and our daughters have lots of hair :)
