FAIL!

Well, I failed my glucose test. Needed to be under 120 and it came out 151! Ughhhh! I have to go back for the 3 hour freaking test next week. Then the next week I go for my next check up appointment and an ultrasound apparently. I didn't realize I would get another u/s, but I'm not complaining! I just really hope I can pass the 3 hour test. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight and my appointment is at 8:30. So that means no food for 12 freaking hours! Criminey! Guess I better be careful this next week with what I eat.

	Comment from Bammom » Posted Apr. 30, 2014 3:39pm Geeze! At least I was allowed to have water after midnight, I was also allowed to drink water throughout my test. That was great because it would keep hunger pangs at bay. My first 1 hour test came back at 130 which was apparently the cutoff according to my doctor. All came back well with the 3 hour though so I hope it goes well for you too. Maybe something you ate threw off the 1 hour test. I personally think they should go back to making us fast for the 1 hour test. I fasted when I was pregnant with my son because that was protocol then and I think it works out better that way. Instead they let us eat and screw up the test then have to go back for the long test.

	Comment from mrsamanda » Posted Apr. 24, 2014 4:09pm I also got the tdapp shot sbd my arm is killing me today. Sore and almost like it's got a lump in it. Hurts so bad. I wonder if this is normal.

	Comment from mrsamanda » Posted Apr. 24, 2014 9:39am I had my 1 hour test yesterday and I had to drink that sweet stuff and wait an hour and then they pricked my finger and checked my levels, I knew right away. I go next Wednesday to do the 3 hour test. I was told nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before and my appointment is at 8:30. I'm not sure what to expect with the 3 hour test.
	Comment from Mrs_HT » Posted Apr. 23, 2014 5:30pm This is test test I dread the most! I hope you pass the next test. I hate the waiting... I take mine Monday and she told me I didn't have to fast as it is scheduled for 230 In the afternoon but I don't want to chance it.
