Baby Shower

Well, my baby shower was yesterday. As grateful as I am for all the stuff I got, I'm still verrry disappointed in all the people who did not show up. Aside from my hostesses, only 10 people showed up out of over SIXTY that were invited. 6-0. Yes. Pathetic. I just hope they aren't surprised when I don't go out of my way to come to anything of theirs. Granted, I do have a few meet ups/lunches/dinners arranged with a few that could not make it but still wanted to give me a gift. And am expecting some stuff in the mail from a couple people. It was just really irritating to not have people show up for the actual shower to appreciate all the hard work my hostesses did to prepare. So much food and punch was divided up amongst a bunch of us to take home so it wasn't wasted.

The amount of stuff we got, you would have guessed that more people came. So, the ones that showed up brought a lot of stuff. So, I'm not TOO disappointed. It's just a downer for no one to show up to your party. Especially, when someone else spends the money to throw it for you.

8 days to my next appointment at the doctor. We will be getting an u/s to check for her weight. Then less than 3 weeks until my mom flies in. So, that makes it less than 4 weeks until c-section. (As long as that plan stays the same.) We will probably be discussing/scheduling that.

So, now all we need to do is unload all the baby shower gifts, organize, hang up, put away, wash and pick up a few items that we didn't get and pack our bags. Sheesh!! Can't believe it's almost here already! Seems like just a few days ago we were still in November and I was peeing on sticks and deciding how to surprise my husband with the news! :D

People really suck. I'm thankful for the ones who cared enough to come and bring all the stuff that they did. It really helped. I got a lot!

That's how my bridal shower went, 15 out of 50 showed up.. was kind of a disappointment especially because I wasn't the one who paid for everything or cooked everything- my mom did. So i felt bad for her mostly.
I'm kinda afraid that my baby shower will be the same way!!

For my first child, my daughter, I had to have two showers. The first my mother in law had and NO ONE but her and us showed up. How sad. The reason is because my family doesn't like her and couldn't put aside their issues for us :( I allowed my mother to to have one for my side off the family and about 4 people showed. Another disappointment. With my second child we were going to try it again, seeing it was a boy. I decided not to even bother :(
I glad you got a lot of stuff and were able to enjoy yourself with those that showed.

We had a decent number of no shows at ours too, very frustrating. All you can do is cherish the ones who did come and go our if your way for them in the future.
Pregnancy has gone fast!!! I bet you're as over it as I am. Let's meet these babies already
