37 weeks and stomach pains!
By mrsamanda » Posted Jul. 3, 2014 8:24am - 298 views - 5 comments

Last night I had this sudden onset of "cramps" or whatever you want to call them. I'm still unsure if it was BH or what. It was mostly my upper belly, but still some all over. I had to lay down on my side and just OOh and Aaah through the pain until it quit. It lasted about 20 minutes, maybe? I'm going to guess BH. Even though, at times, my belly didn't feel tight or anything. Idk? Anyways, it stopped and we seem to be doing fine now, so we'll just keep seeing how it goes. I'm so afraid I'm going to be such a little wimpy b!tch when it comes to labor. I have such a low pain tolerance, and if last night wasn't anything compared to labor, I am in trouble! I hope my body progresses quickly to let us know if we are gonna do this thing natural or csection so I can get that epidural ASAP!!

How far along? 37 WEEKS!!!

Total weight gain: 10 lbs

Maternity clothes? Mostly scrubs at work and stretchy pants/no pants and hubby's shirts at home.

Stretch marks? Yep.

Sleep: I sleep some, but still get up anywhere from 2-4 times a night to pee! I can't wait to be able to sleep through the night without having to get up to pee anymore! I'll just be getting up to do something else! LOL

Best moment this week: Getting to see our girl on 4D for free at our Dr's appointment this week! She's already so beautiful! We can't wait to meet her!

Movement: All the time. Sometimes that crap hurts!!

Food cravings: Nothing specific. Whatever sounds good.

Gender: Girl! <3

Labor signs: Not really. I am not dilated any according to my doc on Tuesday. My cervix is softened up some and my other ligaments seem to have relaxed also, so now we are not just set on csection.

Symptoms: Back pain, pubic bone pain, frequent urination, swollen feet, darkened areola, tingly hands/feet, numb toe/s, swollen/painful fingers/hands esp. in the morning, some constipation, some belly cramps from time to time, lots of movement.

Belly button in or out? Pretty flat. There's not much of a "hole" anymore. Lol. But, atleast it hasn't POPPED OUT yet!

Wedding rings on or off? Off mostly. I try to wear my band or engagement ring when we go somewhere though. Both together are too tight.

Happy or moody most of the time: I guess happy mostly, but still a lot of moodiness.

Sorry to hear about the pain part but I am so glad to hear that c section isn't the only possibility now! As a friend of mine put it "c sections are no punk" and she's right. There is nothing easy about them or their recovery so if your body is doing it's thing that's great! No matter what it's super exciting to see that you will be having your baby soon! I can't wait to see all of the birth announcements and pics!

I am trying to enjoy still being pregnant, but the only enjoyable part now is feeling her move.

I feel the same way! I have had a stomach ache since yesterday, gas at times, and nausea! I feel like total crap and I just woke up from a 3 hour nap. Thank GOD I am not working or else I would be a disaster. I feel like going back to sleep as I write this but I have to try and clean a little more in the house.

I think this is part of the labor process beginning. I get BAD twinges throughout the day which I guess are short contractions? I am so so ready for this to be over and for us to have our babies

Well, since our appt this week, doctor thinks I may not need the c-section now. So he wants to see how labor and my body progress. If she doesn't try to come before the 17th, we will induce!

Awe... Amanda. I started cramping at week 37 too. I don't Rembert having BH with my first so that was news to me plus I've been having lightening and I know the baby is moving down but that mess hurts too! Your 4-D pic turned out really great for this stage in the game. Almost there. Seriously two weeks until due date and your scheduled C section. Maybe you'll go into labor on your own in the next two weeks!
