My Due Date: October 7, 2018I have given birth!

Like the title says, I am 21 weeks today. Everything is basically going okay. Gearing up for a busy week, complete with my 3 step-kids home for their first full week of summer and 2 baby doctor appointments! I go to the OB Thursday and the MFM Friday. Then next weekend the kids are supposed to go stay with grandparents and DH and I are going to celebrate my birthday and the anniversary of our first date.
I turned 35 last Tuesday. I had a great birthday. Just a nice, fairly relaxing day.
So I'm still concerned because Maggie is staying so low. I can find her heartbeat easily with the doppler and she is just like an inch above my pubic bone. The top of my uterus is at my belly button though, so I don't understand why she is scrunching herself up there at the bottom. The good news is that Monday night I felt her for the first time, for real. And I've felt her at least once per day since then. I've actually felt her twice today. Once when I had laid down to take a nap and once when I was just sitting talking to DH. It is so hard to describe, but I'm 95% sure it's her and not just gas. (lol.)
I'm still not really showing very well. The area around my belly button is getting firm and that area is starting to "pop". But see, I'm overweight to start with and I had a horizontal fold where my belly button is. The area below my belly button is protruding more and is all baby and uterus. The area above belly button is fat. But the fold is flattening, so I have to be showing some...anyway...
I'm going to try to update this once a week from here on. I can't believe I'm on the other side of halfway done! :)

 | Comment from MrsFord » Posted May. 27, 2018 10:12pm Yay! It’s so amazing once you start feeling them. I wouldn’t worry much about her being low. My son was ALWAYS down there. Every. Single. Scan. I used to say it felt like he was digging out my butt. Lol. He stayed head down from as soon as they were checking that right up until my csection. My doctors were never worried but it did make for a TON of bathroom visits once he got bigger. Happy Birthday!! |
