appointment tomorrow - NERVCITED!

tomorrow i'll be 13w6d and i'll be going in for my second monthly doc appointment. i'm so flipping nervous! my partner is getting off work early in hopes that doc will break out the doppler and we'll hear the heartbeat for the first time. i've been feeling a lot better lately, which is good, but it of course also makes me paranoid. if i don't hear the heartbeat, i'll probably lose my sh!t. my partner is trying to keep me positive (his #1 most important role these days, it seems), and he's doing a pretty good job. don't get me wrong, i *am* very excited... i just kinda want it to be tomorrow and be walking out of the appointment with a giant smile on my face.
in a moment of weakness, i bought a doppler online. after i paid extra to have it shipped fast, my partner asked me to wait until after our appointment. he's got it in his head that our appointment should be special and didn't want to take it away by hearing the heartbeat beforehand. which i fully get.... but all the same, i guess it's good for my willpower that the shipment was messed and we didn't end up getting the doppler til today anyway. hah.
if everything goes well, we'll be telling everyone this week. ahhhhhhhh AHHHHH AHHH! so nervous, so excited!! NERVCITED!

| Comment from knicole27 » Posted Mar. 5, 2012 9:31pm This was me last week. I had my first official ob appt and knew I would be hearing the heartbeat with the doppler with my hubby present. I was so nervous/excited as well that I couldn't sleep all night and even woke an hour earlier than I needed to! lol. So I TOTALLY get it. I had not had an u/s since about week 7 so it had been over 4 weeks of not knowing if everything was progressing or not. I just kept faith it was all ok but yeah i was scared/nervous/anxious/excited all in one. Don't be too nervous if its not found right away.. the baby moves too so.. my ob would pick up on it and then he/she would move on her. but omg.. its the SWEETEST SOUND ever!! my husband actually recorded it on his iphone. So now I have it saved on my facebook videos.. I watch it almost every day. The emotion that comes over you when you hear it is.. overwhelming. I was crying the most happy tears in my life.
