fun with doppler

couldn't get the idea out of my head of checking which side the placenta was on. there's one paper that suggests that the side the placenta is on predicts baby gender really well. if it's on the right, it's a boy; if it's on the left, it's a girl. now, i don't put a lot of stock into these things, BUT it's always fun to play around.

so i went searching for the seashell noises that i've heard the placenta makes on a doppler. definitely on the right side (baby was in there too... right in the middle!). soo... boy! now we'll have to see what turns out to be right: the baking soda test (which said girl), or the placenta position test. i need some sort of tie breaker!

my gut says boy. of course, my gut is basing that on absolutely nothing. my brain says i should stop procrastinating and get some work done...
