100 days to go!

Almost in double digits! It's so absolutely thrilling. I can't really get over how quickly (and at the same time, how agonizingly slowly) this is going. I'm way too excited to meet our little girl.

Couple updates:

- I think we've decided on a first name! We're thinking Alice. It meets all our ideal criteria (2 syllables or less, no 'a' or 'e' sound at the end, could be girly or badass, isn't too unusual or too common, no bad associations or friends with the name) and we just plain like it. Now we have to a) not randomly change our minds, and b) figure out a middle name. The criteria for b) will be even harder since I'd ideally like it to be one syllable and fit with all the other names. Ugh!

- I've felt her a lot more regularly now. A couple of weeks ago my partner felt her from the outside. He was pretty excited (well, as excited as he ever shows). This week I was able to actually see her kicking, which was wonderful. Haven't managed to catch her when my partner is watching (she likes to stop immediately after I say 'oh, look!').

- I'm definitely looking pregnant now. No doubt about it. My belly has overcome my boobs, which considering how giant those have become, is a feat.

- Still feeling good. I get sciatic pain when I sit too long, and I'm starting to get crampy calves. Long walks and stretches have been helping with that, though I'm nervous about my 4.5 hr flight I have coming up (and the multiple 4+ hour drives I'll be going on in the next two weeks). Sleeping has been fine, and my heartburn has (for now) calmed down. I'm starting to have more trouble doing regular things like tying my shoes or getting off the couch without groaning and I'm sure it will just get worse! I get the results from my GD test tomorrow, hopefully. Fingers crossed all is well!

- Emotionally, I'm great. I get teary at happy things and haven't been too annoyed by anything in particular (well, no more so than usual!). I'm mostly just excited and distracted by all things baby.

- We're getting her room together. We bought the crib, dresser, and rocking chair. Still need a mattress and then all that's left are the details. I'm hanging a wall to wall metal string where I'll hang some prints... still need to get more of those, but I figure I can improvise for the first little while. I'm making a hot air balloon mobile for over the change area all made out of paper. I love it! Can't wait to get everything in there.

That should be it for now. I'm leaving in a few days to visit family for the last time before my due date. Looking forward to it, but at the same time I'm thinking I'll need a vacation after the vacation. I'll be gone for over two weeks, but might have 2 or 3 days to myself. Whoo!
