36+3 - had my son at this point

Today is the day in my first pregnancy that I delivered my son, so tomorrow, it will be the longest I’ve made it being pregnant! It’s so crazy to think this pregnancy is on the home stretch. We’re very excited, and I’m terrified at the same time. I’m excited to meet this LO (I’m pretty sure it’s a boy, hubby thinks girl). But I’m also terrified of being able to love 2 little humans! I have no clue how I can possibly love this one as much as I love my son. Of course I will, I’m the oldest of 3 and never once questioned my moms love so I know my son will be just fine . He’s been very clingy and attached to me lately, which worries me a bit. All in all I just know he’s going to be a great big brother and probably a huge helper, he loves to help mama! I hope these 2 will be close . I’m very ready to not be pregnant. But sad too knowing this is the last time I will be. I’m happy to be done with the GD, which is kicking my butt and not going so great despite following the diet very strictly and still having to alter insulin every other day. I’m having to inject insulin 4 times a day in addition to testing my blood 6 times a day- I’ve had enough of that . My last day of work was the 3rd so having this past week has been nice. I didn’t get any time off before my son, well a week, but I was in the hospital and induced. I drove myself to the hospital on the way home from work with him for some pain, which ended up being my liver shutting down. The baby’s room is ready, the bassinet is set up now we just wait. I only have one more diabetes appt on Wednesday, I have 2 more NSTs left and 2-3 more appts with the maternity doctor before this baby arrives (assuming we make it to the 28th when my csection is booked). I’ve been having lots of irregular contractions and so much cervical pain/lightening crotch I guess so maybe it will come sooner? This past week it feels like it’s grown a ton! This will likely be my last journal u too the birth announcement , unless something happens sooner that lands me in the hospital, like pre-e or something.
