Sad... :(

Yesterday I got my results from my 20 week scan. Baby looks great, but I have placenta Previa. It makes me so sad. I don't want any complications. And I just want my baby to get here healthy and happy. I'm so concerned and I shouldn't good things because that only scared me more. Tomorrow I meet with a specialist to learn more about it! Wish me luck.

Comment from knicole27 » Posted Jun. 27, 2012 2:51pm It means your placenta is covering either partially or completely of the birth canal for baby. Lots of rest. They will probably put you on bed rest most likely but try not to stress too much yet. I HAVE heard of placenta previa being found at 20 weeks but then moving and correcting itself later in the 3rd trimester as the baby grows. But in the meantime make sure to take it easy because your risk of bleeding is high. As far as having a c section.. when you have placenta previa thats usually your only option but again.. don't fret too much yet until your in the 3rd trimester and things dont seem to be moving. HTH. :)
