Really not a happy person.

So I'm one of those people that are really self conscious about their bodies, and once I've became pregnant I have kinda mellowed out cuz I love my pregnant belly, plus I haven't gained hardly any weight. Well yesterday my brother stops by and says I ran into one of your friends at the grocery store and she started asking how I (my brother) was doing, then she says "ya I seen your sister the other day and she's gotten fat"! WTH! Seriously! I would never say something like that about someone. She just had a baby back in July and she gained a little weight, but hello, that's what happens when your PREGNANT!

This makes me wanna start watching what I eat and start a more fast pace workout, but I know deep down I don't need to, but her comment is eating away at me now. Why can't people just think before they speak? And also, my brother knows that would have bothered me, so why in the world would he tell me what she said.

Ya I think I'm done venting. I need to get my butt into the shower. Hello 31 weeks!!

It was a "in the moment kind of upset". Just needed to vent. I know I'm not fat, and I know that a lot of the weight will come off from delivering baby. Plus breastfeeding will help (as ginabee had mentioned). But ya like I had mentioned it was just prego harmones getting the better of me!! Thanks for your reply tho, and I'm usually one of those people that let negative things go in one ear and out the other!!

If it bothers you that much maybe it's not her, it's something that you have going on with in you, you shouldn't let anyone have that much control over how you feel about yourself. My daughter is 5 she told me a boy said she was ugly... I know she's beautiful but I had to ask her well do you think your ugly she said no I'm beautiful and I told her then that's all that matters... I say that to say us as women have these little self image issues, we need to be sure of who we are to the point that when people say nonsense things we are not phased to the point you want to fix things that are not broken. Spoken from experience!

Thanks for the response! I keep telling myself that she was just being funny, but fat jokes and pregnancy hormones don't mix well! Lol!

Don't even sweat other people's comments! I'm sure she wasn't even trying to be mean, just humorous. Cutting back on what you eat or having a more strenuous workout routine while you're pregnant is not what you want to do, though. If you're healthy and haven't gained over the recommended amount, then keep doing what you're doing! Embrace the preggo weight! And remember, your body stores fat while you're pregnant so it can pull from it when you're breastfeeding!
