Announced Baby's Gender to Family
My son Wil put his face in the pillow and cried. After he got his composer, He said "you have to work on my brother and soon as she gets here."

Announced Pregnancy to Family
Announcing the pregnancy to my daughter, Courtlynn was priceless. Sean actually told her. They were having a talk about responsibility and he said â??Since your mom's having a babyâ?¦ there are some things Iâ??m going to need you to help her with." Her jaw almost hit the floor and eyes got so big! She turned and looked at me. Then said she is???? It was so cute and funny because for months Courtlynn had been talking to my stomach saying â??Itâ??s a baby in there. I know it is.â?? But when Sean actually confirmed it she was in disbelief.

First Ultrasound
My first tummy ultra sound, I was so delighted because Sean came with me. This was his first doctor's appointment with me so I was a little apprehensive too. It was amazing! Sean was sitting and then stood up making a noise of shock. He was in awe. At that moment, I think he realized I'm really having his baby!
Afterwards, he sat in the waiting area gazing at the ultrasound photos.

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
My son and I were lying on the couch together when I felt a flutter lower on my left side. It caught me so off guard I almost jumped off the couch. Then it dawned on me what I'd just felt. (It's been almost 7 years so I'm a little rusty.) Wil's eyes got huge when I told him and asked if I was ok. We both stared at my stomach for a few moments in awe.

Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
Mistakenly, I put my prenatal appointment on my supervisor RJ's work calendar thinking it was my own and couldn't erase it out.
On the Friday before my appointment, he comes out of his office and says â??Maybe you should have told me whatâ??s going on with you prior to putting it on the work calendar." I replied I was meaning to do that with a smile. After that we spoke about it openly. All he kept saying was "How is Sean? Isn't he retiring and 40.... â??All the men in the office immediately went to protective mode saying I gotta make sure my wife isn't too. I just shook my head at them all.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
I went to my first ultrasound appointment a little nervous because a few days prior I wasnâ??t feeling well and went to the ER. The doctor there did not hear a fetal heartbeat but wasnâ??t concerned because I was so earlier. However, as soon as I got situated, the sonographer was immediately able to hear our little blessing with a heart rate of 125!!!!

First Prenatal Appointment
The excitment on my first prenatal visit was a discussion over the actually due date. Based on my cycle I was given a date of 7/31/14. But because its not 28 days (more like 32) the doc wanted to see the sonogram for accuracy.

Told Husband/Partner
On Thanksgiving evening, Sean asked me if my cycle started yet. I nervously answered "No". We talked about it back and back. And he finally asked me if I was Prego. I replied â??I don't know.â?? So we went to Walgreensâ?? together and purchased a test. The next morning, I took the test and left it in his bathroom to view. Minutes later, he came out saying "There are definitely two lines on there!" I looked for myself and the lines were sure enough bold as ever.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
Over the weekend, Brandei, my best friend, and I went to CVS to secretly purchase two tests. I was a just a few days past my expected cycle date. We anxiously took the test at her home. I wasn't expecting to see anything, but she was determined I was Prego. We took one test and she swore she saw a faint line. I (even squinting) saw barely anything resembling a line.
But turns out she was right! A few days later I got two bold blue lines.
