Picked a Name
Nick was the first one to suggest the name Savannah months ago. I didn't think much of the name.

I didn't want to officially name her until I saw her face because I was worried whatever name we decided wouldn't match her. And I was also worried about people criticizing whatever name we chose.

Very recently though we decided Savannah is a very beautiful name and we couldn't be more happy with our choice! :)

Prental Tests: Glucose Challenge Test
The orange glucose drink was TERRIBLE! I could barely get it down without puking. And afterwards I felt like crap. The needle wasn't so bad this time around though.

Baby Shower
My baby shower was absolutely AMAZING. Thanks to my Mom and Aunt. <3
I got SO MANY clothes! I couldn't have asked for a better day.
So many friends and family came. My house was packed.
And I convinced Nick to wear the hat made from the bows on the presents. That was funny.

Got a 3D Ultrasound from the Cardiologist
The cardiologist gave us lots of reassuring information. He said her heart seemed to be handling the extra blood flow very well, although her heart was enlarged. Not any more than they would have expected given her condition though.

Savannah also DEFINITELY has her mama's nose! :)

Discovered Absent Ductus Venosus
During the anatomy scan the doctor discovered my daughter has a little extra fluid on her kidneys. Not usually something they would call for a follow up scan for. Thankfully my doctor did issue me a follow up scan. When I was 25 weeks they looked at her kidneys. Not a big deal, it's common for babies to have a small amount of fluid in the kidneys. However, that day they noticed something very strange on the ultrasound. My daughter has a very dilated vein pouring tons of blood into her heart. This is because she is missing an umbilical vein called the ductus venosus. This is a vein that is supposed to pinch of some of the blood coming from the umbilical cord. This makes her at risk for heart failure. This was by far the saddest day of my life. Nick and I cried and cried for days. We got nothing but good news after this day though.

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
I started needing bigger clothes. I don't wear maternity clothes but I probably should considering I look like a cow in everything I wear lol.

Bought Baby's First Outfit
Ordered these 2 sleepers from JC Penny's online. I love foxes and penguins. :)
The one with the fox is what she will most likely be coming home in, I think it is absolutely adorable.

Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time
Nick and I were in the waiting room for a prenatal visit. My mom was the first person besides me to feel Savannah move, which was the night before.

We were just sitting there and all the sudden Savannah started kicking me like crazy. I told Nick to hurry up and look and he put his hand on my belly and felt her. He was so happy.

Announced Baby's Gender to Family
Nick and I were expecting to hear "it's a boy!"
We were wrong. "IT'S DEFINITELY A GIRL!!!!!"
We couldn't be happier with our sweet baby girl though, and couldn't imagine life with a boy instead of a girl.
Family and friends were very pleased as well. :)

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
Felt those first little flutters. I was so anxious to feel her move and that night I finally did. I cried because I was so happy. Nick was right next to me when I felt her. I was 16 weeks, almost 17. Her flutters got more frequent and more noticeable very quickly after this. :)

First Ultrasound
My first ultrasound was my favorite because Savannah was so tiny. She looked like a little cartoon with arms and legs flipping all around. It was so cute. Nick, my Mom and my Aunt were all with me. This was also the day we announced on facebook we were having a baby.

First Prenatal Appointment
First appointment. All I did was take another pregnancy test and get a paper confirming my pregnancy with an EDD. And fill out lots of paperwork.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
2 days after my birthday. I took it in the morning with Nick. I wasn't sure if it was correct or not because the line came out so faint. But in the directions it said no matter how faint the line, if it was a + that means you are pregnant. I was in shock lol. It's all yellow and the line is even more faint in the picture because I just recently snapped a picture of the test that i took 6 months ago.
