Jessyann: it's funny because the only reason why I tested was because I kept getting nausea every time I would brush my teeth. It's usually my first indicator that I am pregnant. I am scheduled to have my beta hcg done on Saturday, then Monday, and Wednesday to see if they are rising accordingly. I have had a previous ruptured ectopic pregnancy and lost my right fallopian tube. They always treat me as if I have one until ultrasound proves otherwise.I am a little bit concerned with this pregnancy, as my blood pressure has not completely returned to normal. It has been hovering between the 130's and 150's. I guess we'll have to wait and see how things play out. I am not even really sure how far along I am with all the crazy post partum bleeding. My due date will probably be in early September 2016.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Victoria, I only tested when I got pregnant with my youngest son because the smell of coffee made me really sick out of nowhere. I drink coffee daily, so I knew something was up. Lol. Sometimes it's the little things that tip you off. I have my fingers crossed that everything is where it should be for you!

Afm, I have my 6 week appointment Monday. My husband couldn't get the day off, so I am scrambling to get a babysitter as there is no way I am taking 3 kids to an appointment where I am getting a pap done. I'm hoping my dad will at least watch the boys for me. I'll be scheduling my tubal surgery at my appointment as well as talking to my doctor about my ppd. It's gotten really bad the past few days. I'm trying to hold strong, but I am really drowning in it. I'm glad my husband is off until Monday, so I have a bit of a break.

Hey Cattsmeow: Sorry that your PPD is so bad. I can totally relate to that one. Are you on any medication as of yet or are you waiting to discuss it with your doctor? Wow, it's amazing how fast time flies. I can't believe that our baby girls are getting so big already. How is Valerie's colic? Isabella has been horrible the last two days. I left a message with her pediatrician so that he can call in a script for Enfamil Alimentum. Then I will have to get a prior auth for her to get it covered under insurance. Such a pain in the ass but worth it if it helps her colic. I hope that you are ble to get a babysitter for you upcoming appointment.

AFM: I am not sure that this pregnancy is viable. I went for lab work yesterday to see where my levels are, but I took another HPT and the line is barley visible. Usaually that means one of two things either it's an early chemical or an ectopic pregnancy. The only other thing that I can think of is that the First Response may have picked up the pregnancy very early due to its super low sensitivity. God only knows at this point what is going on. I have to wait until Monday morning to get the beta HCG results so I am going to try to relax and be patient.

Victoria, I am waiting to discuss it with my doctor, so I'm not on anything currently. I have a feeling she is also going to refer me to counseling. =/ As for Valerie's colic, it's gotten worse. The gas has gotten a little better now that she is exclusively on the Munchkin Latch bottle, but the crying and screaming has gotten worse. She screams for about 4 hours every night, starting around 7 and going until 11 or later. She'll wear herself out, fall asleep for 20 minutes, but then she wakes up and the screaming starts again. It is really wearing me down. I caved and bought some of the Gerber Soothe Colic drops today to try, as we can't afford to switch her formula. (She's on the Parent's Choice Gentlease now.) But we're thinking we may have to try a soy based formula. She has her 1 month appointment Tuesday, so I am going to talk to her pediatrician about it and see what she says. Her colic is so much worse than Brandt's was, and my oldest didn't have colic. =/

Looks like I am probably going to be rescheduling my appointment that I have today. It is pouring rain outside, with thunder and lightning and if I go to my appointment, I have to take my husband to work in 30 minutes. I am not dragging the kids out in this weather. =/ Oi!

Cattsmeow: That stinks that you have to reschedule your appointment. Hope they can squeeze you in sooner rather than later when you reschedule.

AFM: I got the results of the beta hcg results and it was less than 1. The nurse is not sure what is going on, because I just emailed her a picture of today's First Response test and it is clearly positive. Could be a blighted ovum or the lab could have mixed up my results. Either way I am going for more lab work this evening to see if there are any changes since Saturday's lab draw. Not sure whether to do the happy dance or be concerned since it is still reflecting positive on the hpt? Your thoughts???

EEitherthe lab screwed up, or you have some very faulty tests, because that is blazingly positive. I hope you get it figured out soon, because those tests, while sensitive, would not pick up hcg of less than 1.

I got my appointment rescheduled. They could have gotten me in on Wednesday, but my 16 month old woke up covered in vomit this morning on top of the storms, so they got me scheduled for next Monday afternoon. That is going to be a very busy day. Valerie has her post op at 9, my oldest has a med check appointment at 9:50, then I have to leave immediately to make my appointment. Lol. Oi!

Victoria, goodness! I hope y'all get that figured out soon! That is very odd! That test is definitely positive! Can you go buy some new tests, maybe a different brand?

Catts, sorry your ppd has been so awful!! I'm glad you're going to talk to your on about it! I hope your little one is feeling better!

Afm - I swear everyday has been a little better. I had a LOT of anxiety for the first couple of weeks! I worried my milk wasn't enough (which is totally is he is between 11 and 12 pounds now), which a lot of the stems from
My past experience. I worried about my incision, I had staph after my second daughter and was horribly sick. I was super sleep deprived, and either I'm adjusting now or I'm getting enough sleep. And I was very anemic so I was very weak, and felt terrible. I saw myself in the mirror and was horrified by how Terrible I looked. My biggest worry now is going back to work, I really don't want to but I don't really have a choice right now. We need to work our way out of some debt. Thankfully it shouldn't take but a year as long as everything goes according to plan.
Also, I don't know if I'm really done having babies or not. I'm sure my husband is so I don't really have a choice but knowing I can successfully breastfeed makes me want to do it again. Not for a while though, I definitely don't know if I can handle the whole TTC thing again. That was torture! Of course I was grieving and struggling after my miscarriage so that could be part of that. Anyway my husband would probably flip out if I told him this lol!

Jessyann: Glad to hear that things have settled down for you and the you are feeling better. I know from first experience that being very low in iron totally stinks on top of all the delivery and post partum issues a woman experiences. Yay for feeling better!

AFM: The repeat labs were less than 1 as well. So I am relieved that I am not pregnant, but am worried as to why I have positive pregnancy test and a negative beta hcg. Totally mystified the doctors and myself. I did buy a different brand First Signal from Walmart just to compare to the First response tests and it came back totally negative. It might have been a bad batch of First response tests so I am calling the company to let them know about it and see if they are willing to give me a refund or exchange. I doubt it,, but this should never happen to another woman.

As for Isabella, we are in the midst of changing her formula to Similac Alimentum. The insurance will cover with a letter of medical necessity from her pediatrician. Thank goodness for miracles. Hoping that the new formula improves her colic issues.

Definitely asking my ob to USA a different lab. I had one Walmart hpt cheapie left and it came out positive. Not too sure if this is ectopic or not, but it's not sitting well with me.

Victoria, I be concerned as well. Can your doctor not do an ultrasound, or would it be too early? Either way, it may help put you at ease a bit.

Jessy, glad things are going well! I hear you on going to work. We're talking about me getting a part time job, mostly to get me out of the house, but I really don't want to do it. =/

Afm, we lost power yesterday. It got down into the low 30's last night, so we got a hotel room since it wasn't turned back on until this morning. It was very interesting, to say the least. Valerie and Brandt were nightmares. Valerie did not go to sleep until well after 11. Brandt did not go to sleep until almost 1, and then woke up every 30 minutes screaming his little head off. Needless to say, we did not get much sleep. And this was after me not getting any sleep the night before. =/ I am so freaking tired it's not even funny. Good news is that once we get Valerie to sleep, she pretty much sleeps the whole night. She wakes up to eat twice a night, but will only take about an ounce before she falls back to sleep. She usually gets up when I have to go to the bathroom, so it's not so bad. It's getting through her colic time that is the hardest, as it last for 4 hours or more a night. =/

Victoria you really need to get that checked! That doesn't sound good!

Catts, yikes that sounds like a terrible night! Hopefully last night was better?

I'm going to add a few new pictures in a bit. One will be of Asher and his "future wife" hah! Totally kidding but one of my best friends had her baby 2 weeks ago today. We were pregnant at the same time with our daughters - my second and her first. They are best friends and now we're about to be neighbors (for the second time) and we're hoping our little ones will be best friends. Anyway one picture will be of Asher, and their baby girl Molly. And a couple others! He is such a sweet baby and he loves being held! I know I keep saying this but I don't want to go to work and leave him!

Jessy, Asher is ADORABLE!!!!!!! I hope you have a big stick all picked out. You're going to need it to beat the girls off him when he gets older. lol.

And yes, last night was MUCH better. Brandt only woke up once crying, but he went back to sleep efore I could even get out of bed. However, he was up at 6 this morning and I was so not ready to get up. lol. Oh, and I think you were the one who suggested the Gerber colic drops. I picked some up at CVS the other day and we have already noticed a difference in Valerie. We're not sure if it's the drops or if it's the change in formula (her doctor gave us some soy based formula to try, as her doc thinks she has silent relfux on top of the colic), but something is working. We're going to keep her on the drops, even though they're $30 here.

And Happy New Year to you all!

Happy New Years ladies!

Catts I'm glad y'all had a better night, and how awesome that Valerie is sleeping so well! I'm glad something is working for her!

AFM - my stupid incision opened up! It's just a small opening but it's freaky nonetheless. I called the on call doctor and he seemed annoyed that I called. I want my doctor!!!! It's not bleeding anymore, it's oozing but it's clear so that's good. I'm going to put some gauze on it and dry to keep it clean and dry the best that I possibly can. It totally freaks me out though! I had staph with my second daughter and I'm so afraid that wil happen again. And seriously, nearly six weeks later and I'm still dealing with my incision. Anyway, I have to go in Monday and have it looked at! Yay me, another hour long trip! Ugh!! I'm so tired of driving to Tuscaloosa!

Jessy, I'm sorry about your incision opening up. Hopefully it doesn't get infected.

Afm, I am excited. I get almost 4 kid free hours tonight! Lol. Tonight is my husband's company Christmas party at the local casino. I am pumped! Lol. We got a babysitter for the kids so we can go. I'm looking forward to having a couple of drinks, getting dressed up, and having some time away from the kids. I need it...bad. I feel kinda bad about leaving my 6 week old daughter with a babysitter, but it's only for a few hours, and we know the babysitter will take good care of her. Meep!

Jessyann: Hopefully that incision does not get infected. Sending prayers your way.

Cattsmeow: I would be totally psyched too. That is awesome that you and hubby have some alone time to relax and hang with adults. Enjoy!!!

AFM: AF finally arrived this morning, so I am either miscarrying (very crammpy period, which is unlike me and heavy once again) or have a very heavy period. Either way, at least she roared her ugly head, lol. I even pos to see if my pregnancy test was still positive, and it wasn't at all. So I am very relieved to say the least.

Isabella was switched to Similac Alimentum. She is doing much better and only wakes once a night for a quick diaper change and feeding. For the most part she sleeps from 6-8 hour stretches in the evenings. and now weighs 10.5 lbs. Her last height check 10 days ago she was 22.5 inches long. All in all, she is at the 50% mark for height, weight, and head circumference. She smiles and coos all the time now. It's so stinking cute that I can barely contain myself, lol.

Hope all you ladies had a great New Year!

Victoria, it sounds to me that you maybe had a chemical. And I'm glad Isabella is doing better!

We had switched Valerie to the soy formula, but it looks like we are going bavk to Gentlease for awhile. The soy is giving her horrible gas. Her poor belly is all distended from the gas and is rock hard. She is also having trouble with pooping now. It's either diarrhea or she's constipated. There is no in between. She strains really hard to go as well. She's happiest laying on her belly due to the pain, I suppose, and she'll even sleep like that. The colic drops are helping a ton, though. Her crying time for the colic has went from 4+ hours a night to less than 2 for the past 2 nights. Only issue now is that she is not going to sleep until almost midnight. But that'll work itself out with time. We put the boys to bed at 7, and after that we have quiet time for her. We're still trying to get the boys back on schedule, so we haven't been able to get her on a schedule or regular routine yet. Hoping that changes soon.
