My Birth Plan
I have attended many births and each was unique. For my birth, I hope to be able to trust my provider enough that I am able to let go and allow that person to care for me so that I can labor without trying to be my own provider.If there is meconium, I will go to the hospital.
If there is unusual vaginal bleeding, I will go to the hospital.
I will probably want to be left alone for the most part while I labor without medications and I will want either silence or music.
I will probably want to spend a lot of time in the shower and bath.
If I decide to get an epidural, it will be okay and I will still be a good and worthy mother.
If I end up with a c/s, it will probably take me a long time to process it and I will probably feel irrationally upset. Hopefully this won't be so bad since nothing will be implanted in me, but I know how I've responded to surgery in the past. I will work with my therapist on this. Hopefully if I do have a c/s it will not be an emergency.
I will develop a breastfeeding plan with my therapist who has suggestions that will optimize my sleep.
