About Me
Hello!! I'm Valerie. I've been with my amazing, supportive partner Brian, for 7 years now. He is 24, I am 22, and we have 1 amazing son together, Ryan. We have planned to add another to our family of 3 once Ryan turned 5. We started TTC a girl mid June 2013.My birth control plan was put in place after almost needing a blood transfusion but instead ended up on iron pills for 2 years. I had irregular menstrual cycles that my body could not stop on it's own without the help of prescription med. After battling AF issues my OBGYN suggested the birth control Seasonique, an extended-cycle birth control that gives women four periods per year instead of 12. Got pregnant while taking Sesonique with my DS (born April 2008). At my postpartum 6 week check-up I decided to get the IUD Mirena. Mirena stayed in place the full 5 years and just recently had it removed early June 2013. We didn't get the ok to BD until after my first period showed. OB said due to the absence of AF for 5 years the uterine wall cannot build itself up and gets thin..with that said, it can put me at greater risk for miscarriage. Mid July 2013 AF came and was shockingly regular! We started trying and found out August 2013 with a faint positive! Scheduled my first prenatal appointment at 9 weeks (September 2013). We are so happy to annouce that we are going to welcome a darling baby girl on April 16, 2014!!!
Wishing everyone x GL x on the TTC journey and sending baby dust your way. Don't give up!
