About Me

We have decided to try again after a miscarriage 6 months ago and succeeded straight away within the first month trying! I knew something was not right so I took an early test 10 dpo a faint line appeared. I was so shocked! At 17 dpo I got really strong BFP. We are over the moon but worried too. Although I am taking it in steps and trying to be optimistic, once you have had a miscarriage you think it will happen again. Thankfully everything is fine so far and our little baby is due to arrive 3.3.2012... :-).

I have had my 12 wk scan today! Everything is fine so far - yay!!! We are so happy! We even saw our baby to move around and move his/her tiny little arms and legs. At one point the baby just back flipped over and turned the other way! Amazing, little tiny person...and we love him/her soooo much already.

Ohh, and by the way! Yes, my bump poking out! That photo was taking around 7 in the morning. I had initially taken it for my brother. I'm in the US on the east coast, and my brother lives on the west coast and has been wanting regular updates. After I took it, I was immediately surprised at how much I was poking out. I mean, I see myself in the mirror daily but I guess I haven't paid quite that much attention. :)

Hi dear! Soooo great that things seem good and that you aren't having to deal with the morning sickness and such. My best friend was lucky like you and only had 3 days of nausea. Did you buy one of those dopplers you can listen at home or was this at the doctors office? Either way, that is fantastic. My next appointment is August 22 and we'll finally get a chance to listen as well. I'm 12 weeks now its hard to believe!
Today my best friend and her 18 month old son went maternity shopping for me. It was exciting but nerve-racking at the same time. have you shopped yet? My husbands cousin gave me 3 boxes of clothes too but most of it is too big for me quite yet so I'm excited that I have a head start for later on.

hi! To answer your question, I'm in the US and it really just depends on the insurance you have here. Since we have private insurance generally through our employer or purchase it completely separately it just depends on what level you have coverage on.
My scan was yesterday, I posted a photo on my photo section of our little bean growing. My husband was smiling so big when the tech showed us the heartbeat and everything. It was a really neat experience. I'm on a hunt for a mini frame so I can take one of the prints to my office and show it off. :) Yours is tomorrow right? Can't wait to hear about it! :)
