Norah Lynn's Birth Story

I thought my water broke Saturday night so we packed up our stuff and went to triage. I had some mild contractions but after they determined my water hadn't broke they sent us home thinking it could be the start of early labor. I wasn't dilated. We tried to sleep a few hours but my contractions got much more intense so I couldn't sleep. I went to the bathroom at about 3am and there was lots of clots so again it's off to the hospital. This time I was dilated to 3cm. Labor had begun and we were admitted. I was 6cm by noon and they thought I'd be pushing by 5pm. I was stuck at 9.5cm for over an hour so they gave me pitocin to finish it off but I ended up pushing through the last bit. Luckily I only had to push about 45 minutes and after a quick episiotemy she was here! Scored an 8 and 9 on the apgar and was screaming before her body was out. They put her on my chest and the first thing she did was grab my fingers and hold on tight. She is perfect and we are so happy.

Things are pretty good on this end - been extremely busy with moving houses, baby shower etc etc. Little girl is doing much better than she was - has caught up on her growth a bit and will be here by 39 weeks at the latest via scheduled induction :) Counting down the days now!
