Zackary Ian's Birth Story

Went in for a schedualed c section at 0600 after a prior traumatic vaginal birh with my first child. Due to delays i wasnt taken.back until 0845 The spinal took in moments no joke. as soon as the nurse told me to.lay down i yold her i already couldnt feel my legs (they were crossed when they gave me the spinal). I felt sick so they gave me anti nausea meds thru my IV. husband joined me in the OR after they swabbed me abd put up the drape. he was allowed to watch the actual surgery so he was telling me what was going on. i was loopy from the meds so i was very sleepy. at 0920 our baby boy was delivered and gave out a very healthy scream (who wouldnt that OR was freezing - couldnt feel the cold after the spinal tho). It was amazing ti hear Zack's first cries because my first child didnt cry. he whimpered. husband left my side to take pictures to show me the baby. then he was brought to me and a nurse took our first family photo. i even got to.hold Zack skin to skin as they stitched me up - Jessy held him actually as i was still paralyzed from the neck down. at 1045 i was taken back to recovery. i had the severe case of te shakes. kept making me sick. my parents, twin and her husband came to see us. a nurse and jessy helped me nurse Zack for the first time as i was too shaky and woozy to hold him on my own. we were out of the hospital in two days and are bith well. He is a very quiet baby. hardky fusses :) and Ben.is taking to his big brother role well for a 22 month old :)
