Get this kid out of me!

37 weeks 2 days and I find myself begging this kid to make an appearance. I have 1 week and 6 days till my c-section, but I'm just so miserable and uncomfortable anymore that I don't think I can wait that long. I thought Monday that maybe baby boy was going to listen to me and come, but nope he didn't. Went to l&d Monday with my lower back hurting constantly since Sunday and nothing I did made it any better, plus I was having menstrual like cramping with it. The monitor showed that my uterus was irritated and I went from fingertip dilated to a 1, and then just stopped after my uterus calmed down :( They sent me home after 4-5 hrs there and told me to take it easy and I was on pelvic rest till I see my ob tomorrow. I'm hoping he checks my cervix, and if so fingers crossed for some progress.
Since Monday I've had a mucous discharge every time I wipe, my lower back still hurts(just not as bad as it did Monday), still a lot of menstrual like cramping,more frequent and intense BH, sharp pelvic pains and pelvic pressure(feels like this kid is trying to burrow his way out!) extreme fatigue, appetite sucks, more emotional and irritable than I have been this whole pregnancy, anxious, and a little scarred that if this kid does come before the c-section can I handle natural birth..at u/s yesterday they told me he had a big head and his weight guesstimate was 6lbs 14 oz and you know as well as I do that can be a +/-lb and it would be my luck he'd come out a lb or 2 bigger(just look at my u/s pics he looks like he's going to be a beast!) Then also at my u/s the high risk doc told me that since I am anti-kell positive(barely, but can still cause problems) that Zane will have to have his bilirubin levels checked frequently and that there is a very good chance he'll have to be on the lights for jaundice and maybe even come home with the jaundice blanket.
My husband's ready for this kid to come and my 3 yr old yells at my stomach "get out of moms belly button baby brother", we are all ready to meet baby Zane. Have my bag packed(just a few last minute things to throw in it), baby boys bag is ready, and I even have a bag ready for my 3 yr old for grandma's house, all the blankets and clothes I've gotten so far are washed and put away, rooms all set up for and ready to go, now just need a baby...
hopefully not much longer to wait

So like you told me before, be patient, hang in there, your little one will be here before you know it! :D I hope everything goes well with your c-section, I had an emergency one and I guess if I have more kids they'll all be scheduled c-sections too. So, hang in there, I'm sending you lots of labour vibes, hopefully your boy decides to make an earlier appearance :) |
 | Comment from Marisa0125 » Posted Sep. 6, 2012 7:44pm 37 weeks seems to be when we get so uncomfortable. I hope things go well for you! Hang in there, at least you have a c-section scheduled so you have a light at the end of the tunnel. I feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever. |
