Being in University and Pregnant
By JayLoriandChris1012 » Posted Jun. 18, 2012 8:53pm - 487 views - 3 comments

So I'm in my Third year of University ,and I'm 7th month of pregnancy. I had Two Tests today well I took 1 of the tests already ,and now I'm waiting to take the second one that starts at 12:30pm it's now 11.01am so I'm waiting in the Library. I wanted to write about being pregnant in University, and how it is mainly because I thought I was going to have to quit for awhile ,or at least until the baby was born ,and stuff. I haven't had lots of pregnant woman at school to talk to.

1st Trimester in University

I started off normally you know Morning sickness however I would have Morning sickness all the time.
I even had to run out of class quite a few times. I even threw up in class before bad huh? not good.
That's basically it was a normal first trimester.

2nd Trimester in University

One morning I began walking to a building that I parked in the parking lot I was breathing like I ran there lol or after I did a gymnastics routine or something.

also when I was in class I just started getting like burning up hot I had to move to the front row in order to be in front of the fan that was on I was like fanning myself up ,and eventually had to leave because of hoe hot I got. I also fell asleep in the library quite a few times.

3rd Trimester

I have not been on my 3rd Trimester very long but I will tell you how I've been in school.

So I have been carrying low which is odd because I read some were that people who have stronger abs I did Gymnastics for years ,and had really strong ripped abs. but crap that article lol. well he have been really low ,and it has been really uncomfortable walking and getting around school I found my self having to park in a handicap spot because it hurts so bad when I walk to long. I've had to sit in a table so because I can't fit in a desk very well. Also I have to sit towards the door because I pee alot ,and needs to make quick exit with out interrupting anyone lol the bad thing is I see my gymnastic team mates and they are all so skinny lol. I'm 5'11 and weighed 54.43kl which was about 120lbs so lol I was very under weight but I was always that way lol anyway I get braxton hicks alot in class most of the time I have to get up out of class I bring a video camera to class for that because I have to walk around. I get them alot when I'm in school ,and it's not fun when you are trying to listen to the professor. Other than that I'm not sure about the other parts of the 3rd Trimester because this is my first ,and not I will not have another while in school. Lol it's just been very rough my back always hurts! So I bring a pillow cushion to class.

I can't walk up stairs very well anymore. I have been having to take the elevator which makes me sick so before I walk into class I have to make a pit stop in the bathroom lol
that's all if any of you have gone to school while pregnant I'd love to hear about it and compare stories and experiences.

No it's not before I found out I was pregnant I was still doing Gymnastics ,and I went to do my floor routine in practice I did One Tumbling pass I puked on the floor in the middle of practice that was Embarrassing I was working aswell I did my best to work around my school schedule but sometimes I would work and goto school that was hard especially how far along I'm at the moment. I had some classes online but mostly in my first trimester I just did it but I had to run out lots but what ever mainly when people would eat things in class. The sight of some food lol :)

I'm 26 weeks today and I'm in college. Thankfully a lot of my classes I have been able to take online which makes it a lot easier on me. The 1st trimester I had terrible all day sickness, so that wasn't fun with working full time, school(thankfully my class was online that semester), and then my 2 yr old son to take care of. 2nd trimester M/S eased up around 14-15 weeks so that helped, but in place of m/s came the braxton hicks around 18 weeks. This trimester I have a class I have to actually go to the university to take, and it's a long 45 minutes drive! I get BH while driving there and my BH make me have to pee so I have to rush to the bathroom as soon as I get to campus and then I have to walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor for class(im claustrophobic so elevator is out of question) so I make it to class out of breathe with more BH and hot flashes have recently started in. Within the past week M/S has kicked in again. Being pregnant and going to school isn't easy that's for sure lol
