Heading towards week 8!

Well, we had our first sonogram today! It was so exciting! Apparently my charting was spot on because I'm due exactly when I thought which is March 7th and I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow. Watching the baby's heart beat on the big screen on the wall (very cool thing btw) was so amazing! I can't even describe what I was feeling. It was like a mix of shock, wanting to cry, and it really hitting me that this is really happening! Looked over at DH when the tech showed us the heart beating and he was crying which was so sweet! It was definitely the best experience of my life thus far!
I had no cysts on my ovaries (YES!!) and the baby is nice and high in my uterus with plenty of space between it and the fibroid I have. That was the best news ever!! I'm so relieved there's no problems for now!
I can't wait until we go back next month for my 12 week scan and get to hear the heart beat. It was at a rate of 152bpm today and everyone is saying we're having a boy, lol. I'm just curious to see if it changes once the baby gets a little bigger.
Somehow I've managed to not throw up yet at all and the doctor thinks I'm the luckiest girl on the planet. Which I definitely won't argue with her cause I'll gladly skip that part! Now if this gas and diarrhea (tmi sorry!) will go away soon that would be great! :)
