Getting Close

Nervous and excited. Baby will be here in only a few weeks. Crazy.
I have had a wonderful pregnancy with only the usual pregnancy complaints. Minor bouts of heartburn, low energy, and constipation but always was able to cope. Now that we closer to the end, my anxiety about the birth is closing in on me. Not nervous about birthing my baby....only nervous about about not getting the birth I envision. I have a birth plan that doesn't include many of the modern medical routine practices but I'm keeping positive that they won't fight me too much on them. If I could have had a home birth, I would have. Believe me, I tried. I still feel that they are taking something away from women that most women will never get the opportunity to realize. At the very least we should have the choice.
