My Journal

My crazy week (20Oct-26Oct)

Saturday, 20 October, I began spotting. I went to the ER, they did a pelvic, ultrasound, drew blood for my HCG levels and had me do a urine test. All came back good and they said to floodwater up within 48hrs with a OBGYN to check to see if my HCG levels were increasing.

Tuesday, 23 October, still spotting (day 3), went to my obgyn appetite. They took blood, did and ultrasound saw babies heartbeat and said that everything looked good to just come back if the bleeding turned bright red and heavier. So I left in good spirits! I got to work and found out right before I left that they needed me to stand watch that night 2400-0800.....which made me totally upset, it was so last minute. So I went home, tried my best to sleep in preparation of staying up all night. I got may 2hrs of sleep and then couldn't sleep anymore of course. I stood the watch, got off work at 0800, showered, ate and went to sleep until about 2pm.

Wednesday: Still spotting (day 4) I got a message wondering why I wasn't at work to receive documents from one of our officers at 2pm....ugh!!! Although I relayed the message to both my Chief and LPO who are on the ship that I wouldnt be there Wednesday due to working all night (1130pm-0800am), the message obviously didn't get relayed to the officer with the documents who flew off of the ship. So the officer told me to just pick them up the following day.

Thursday, 25 October, still spotting (day 5). Very long work day. I didn't get out of work until almost 5pm!

Friday, 26 October, spotting heavier (day 6). While waiting around to see when we could leave, our watchbill got changed and oh guess who got put on the 1600-2400 watch....of course me! Guess who had plans to go back to the ER after work because my spotting was becoming heavier.....me! So I ended up standing the watch. I got home around 12am....so I was literally at work from 0800am-1130pm. My body is overly tired, not to mention the spotting and I'm PREGNANT! I'm not usually one to complain but my work week was RIDICULOUS this week. Those 2 watches definitely put me over 40 hours this week.
