Saturday, 27 October, 2am, I woke up to blood. I completely soaked my pantry liner that was protecting my panties from the spotting. I went into freak out mode but tried to stay calm because I didn't want hubby worried. So I cleaned myself up, put on an acutal pad, and got back into bed like everything was fine. Although I couldn't sleep, I didn't want to wake hubby up. I thought about going to the ER by myself so that we wouldn't have to wake our 2 kids, but I knew hubby would've woken up and said "no way are you going by yourself, we are a family we go together" so I quickly dismissed that thought. 4am rolled around and I had to pee again. Went to the bathroom to a medium amount of blood on the pad and what seemed like a lot in the toilet. Still too early for us to get a babysitter, so I got back in to bed, tried to relax and fall asleep.....yeah right. 6am....bathroom run again, no blood on pad but lots of blood in toilet. 6-8am......freak out mode. I became an emotional wreck. Hubby told me to calm down and try to relax!?!?!?! 8am, I got up, used the bathroom, no blood on pad but blood in the toilet, showered, hubby called neighbor to see if they would watch the girls and then we headed to the ER.

9am-5pm: At the ER. They did a host of test on me ranging from a pelvic exam, ultrasound, a more in depth ultrasound to see where the blood is coming from, drew my blood for HCG and had me pee in a cup. Well everything came back fine concerning the baby. The bad news is that they diagnosed me with Subchorionic Hemorrage/Hematoma/bleed . Well that was the first time that I had ever heard that word and with me being a health freak like I am, I have done a lot of research. Basically it is a clot that forms between the placenta and/or uterus that can cause the woman to miscarry. It causes bleeding in the first trimester for most women, but some don't experience bleeding at all. Well I am one of those that bleed and I guess the big bleed came Saturday morning from 2am-8am. I am staying hopeful tho because I have heard many success stories saying that their clot heals/dissolves itself before the 20th week and they go on to deliver healthy babies!

5pm ish: I was discharged with 72hours Sick in Quarters (SIQ) and given instructions to follow up with my OBGYN on Monday. The ER doc told me that she really wanted me to take it easy this weekend so I will be doing that. My husband won't allow me to get out of bed to do anything but use the bathroom. He said that he and the girls would take care of everything else that I need/want. I'm so blessed to have such a caring, loving husband.
