Transitioning from TTC to Pregnant!

This is so exciting!
I had my first positive pregnancy test on Monday (13DPO), a positive digital Tuesday (14DPO), and a darker FRER today!
I called my doctor to schedule an appointment. I have an ultrasound appointment December 31. That seems so far away! I called and talked to a nurse about this being my first pregnancy and now I have an appointment for an office call next week to go over general pregnancy stuff, talk about my questions and start a prescription prenatal vitamin.
I can't decide when to start telling people. I told my husband right away and my mom shortly thereafter. I'm not sure how long we should wait to tell how many other people. December 31 seems really far away!

As far as telling people... my DH and I decided to tell our parents and both of our best friends... aside from that we decided to wait until after the first trimester. The first trimester is always the hardest and things can happen and it is very hard to process and work through (I have had a miscarriage in the past) and it is hard to have to relive the heartache with each person that asks! However, every person is different and it is for sure a hard secret to keep when you want to scream it from the roof tops! Congrats again!!!! |
