First Bout Of Morning Sickness

Well, I guess I should start with my first prenatal appointment. It was great! My husband came with me to meet my OB for the first time. Dr. Ward lives up to the online reviews of him. He is so personable and seems genuinely interested in my pregnancy. He listened to what I had to say and my concerns and he answered all my questions without making me feel stupid. I'm really looking forward to having him as a doctor for my pregnancy!

He had a quantitative HCG drawn, pretty much because I asked for it, which was nice. He even called me himself the next day with the results (>5000, going great!) I really appreciate when a doctor will call you back himself. As a vet, I call the owners of my patients rather than having my nurses do it. I appreciate when a doctor does because I feel like what I do in veterinary medicine should be the base minimum for the care I recieve in human medicine.

But, oh boy, today I had my first bout of nausea. It wasn't quiet morning sickness in that it started around noon but it came on pretty strong and I was sooooo queasy in the grocery store. I ended up napping for a bit after we got home and felt a lot better. I'm definitely not looking forward to that getting worse!
