i had the glucose test on Monday. i was prepared for it to taste bad but thats all i thought would be bad. not true! about 5 minutes after i drank the glucose my heart started racing! ah it was so fast. and i was getting light headed. by the time that faded i was suddenly insanely tired! i went in for the second blood test and then came out to wait. i was looking online to see if these are normal reactions to the test. when i saw it can cause diarrhoea. oh no... thats what my stomach is doing? no it cant be i think. before i had the final blood test i exploded. sorry for the image but omg it was like the worst enema. itd now been 14 hours since i'd eaten and drinken anything and the sugar syrup was making me so thirsty. i could have drank gallons of water. finally it was time for the last blood test and i was out of there. WOW i did not expect ANY of that!!!! i went home to rest when my dog got sick. took her to the vet and stayed up all night watching her. my precious girl pulled through again :) so happy. but dang that test and then the dog wiped me out majorly. i spent yesterday resting on and off to recover.
today i feel back to my normal self. im feeling really good actually. all the belly pain from last week is gone, and recouped from this week! its amazing feeling back to myself and enjoying the pregnancy so much again :) yay!
i am considering this a huge victory :D
Oh and to top that... the glucose test was negative! no diabetes here baby. thank God cause i'd have been so worried if i had to do the 3 hour glucose test haha! yew!

Guess little Missy didn't like the syrup. LOL It sounds like something that would happen to me. My embarrassing story is that I had to give an urine sample while I was waiting for my blood to be drawn and while I was squatting over the toilet. I starting peeing like a 2 year old boy. Meaning it went everywhere but inside the cup. It was on my hand, the seat, the outside of the cup. I was like WTH is wrong with me plus I was grossed out and trying to clean up as much as possible without being in the bathroom forever. |
