Yikes ! I'm being Induced !

So I wasn't planning on being induced what so ever. Though I received a call from my lovely doctors assistant saying that my doctor is going on vacation on the 16th which is two days after my due date. So they have scheduled me to be induced Wednesday at 7:30pm. I'm quite questionable about it because I'm a first time to be :) mom and don't have any experience. I've also heard so many mixed reviews about being induced good and bad that also doesn't help. So I'm still going in on Monday at 11am for the gel to be applied to my cervix to help me dilate,which I hope it does a lot because as of last Tuesday I am completely closed and only 50% effaced. Luckily I will know how it's working and more about my induction this coming Tuesday when I go in for my 39 week check up. I'm just really hoping I dilate to a good point so my induction goes smooth !
