My rollercoater ride!

This will be my first entry of many, so I suppose I should let you in on how I came upon this destination. This is my 6th pregnancy but I have no living children and none that I carried to full term. So as you can do the math I have had my fair share of miscarriages. Twice with my husband, whom I just married on June 11, 2011!!! We pretty much got back from our honeymoon and I ended up getting pneumonia and having to stay a day in the hospital. During the recovering and shortly thereafter I was extremely tired, which I accounted for as the illness wearing off. But the following week I had 3 separate dreams that I was pregnant. And after not being able to shake the incredible feeling that my body was undergoing some crazy changes, I decided to buy a pregnancy test. I wanted to wait at least until the first day of my missed period. We werenâ??t even trying to get pregnant at the time since we just got married and had plans to travel to Chicago in October and Vietnam in February. We discussed waiting about a year or so. But when the day arrived and my period was MIA, I settle on the fact that today is the day I take the test. It was about 8am and I took out the test, opened it up, did the "deed", sat it on the bath tub and since it says to wait 3 minutes I went and did dishes. Came back about 10 minutes later and two hot pink stripes appeared in the window box! With a huge smile on my face I went into the bedroom and asked my husband if he was awake. If he wasnâ??t, he was now! :) Walked over to him and said, "Baby, I'm having your baby!" And stuck the pee test right in his face! Of course he's pretty blind so he said, "I canâ??t see anything, get me my glasses." Which I did and his response was, "What does this mean?" Uh. Duh. I'm having a baby!! A couple seconds after seeing the test his first response was, "Letâ??s not over think this." Hahaha!! Man, was I thinking this is going to be hard to keep secret! So many people tell you that you should wait until youâ??re out of your first trimester to announce that youâ??re pregnant. But, I donâ??t feel that you should go by their â??rulesâ??. You would even think that with my history I wouldnâ??t want to say anything to anyone. We found out on Thursday and I told my best friend and mom that day. By Monday it was our first ultrasound, which confirmed the pregnancy at 4w4d. That day we told just our immediate family. I believe in the power of prayer. And I believe that the more people praying for my baby is a blessing. I will wait to share the news with everyone else as soon as Iâ??m about 10 weeks. Until thenâ?¦ THIS IS MY OUTLIT. This is my story, hope youâ??ll come along for the ride <3

You are def in my prayers. I have 3 children but got preg about 3 years after having my last child and and had a m/c and again this year in march. It happened at about 3 1/2 to 4 weeks both times. So I'm happy to be past that mark!!! I'll be praying that everything works for us all who have had thses problems!!!

Bravo! Gotcha on my prayer list! I could use some myself, I've been fortunate not to suffer that heartbreak you describe, but I'm 41 & an old gray mare!! I too believe in the power of prayer!!!!
