Daddy and I just came back from your dating ultrasound! The computer measured you three different times with two different measurements. We thought you were about 8 weeks 2 days along, but it seems you are 8 weeks 4 days old! This was nothing like your 5 week ultrasound; we saw you move veeeery slightly once, we saw your beating heart and your cute but huge head. The technician said that you are alive and well, which is always a good sign. She even said that she would put the miscarriage risk down to 5% now! Daddy and mommy heard your heartbeat too! So exciting! The doctor didnâ??t tell us what the heart rate was, but you have a fast and healthy heartbeat, Iâ??d estimate around 130 beats per minute. You measure 2 centimeters in length! The diameter of the amniotic sac is about 6 centimeters. Daddy and I held hands and smiled at each other. Even once we were out of the room, out of the hospital and in the taxi, we were still gazing in each otherâ??s eyes, thanking the other for this wonderful gift of life. I am so happy and so lucky to have you both in my life. I shared the photos with close friends and your uncle and godfather. They all think you are adorable.
