We met with the specialist in Fargo yesterday. He does not seemed concerned about the D anitbodies and thinks that they probably are not actually D antibodies, but are antibodies I developed when sick one time and they are molecularly similar to the D antibodies so they come up as that on the blood test. He will test baby's blood by drawing some of mine (apparently they can get baby's out of mine somehow!) and we will find out for sure what the blood type is. If it's negative, then we have nothing to worry about! So that was a relief to hear!
They did an ultrasound to measure all of baby's body parts and make sure it was growing well. During the ultrasound, baby was laying on its arms facing my spine and would not open its' legs! I was so bummed because we had two cakes (one blue and one pink) ready to go to share with my family. Luckily, baby moved for us at the last minute and the sonographer said "IT'S A GIRL!!" My husband was convinced he didn't "make" girls so he's feeling a little bit of a bruised ego right now from all the flack he's getting. But, I am very excited about a girl and I think he's excited too. She did say to make sure they double check at our next ultrasound, but she was pretty confident.
