I am seeing pictures of people in groups on facebook or a couple of people I know but don't have on my friends list that I crept recently with baby showers. I feel so cheated. I had a friend throw me one for my daughter at her house. No one came except my cousin, and she was my ride there so she kinda had to go :( My entire list of people that rsvp'd no showed. This pregnancy is getting completely ignored by everyone. Not that I expected the same excitement as the first but this time is almost completely unacknowledged. I know I won't be getting a baby shower this time or even a sprinkle. I see these people posting pics of everyone that came and all the presents they got. I'm not upset about the lack of presents but it would have been nice to have had one person come to the one my friend gave me. I don't find it fair that everyone else can have a shower but I can't. Wouldn't even have to be big. I made it so I couldn't have a bridal shower because I basically eloped with my husband. But the baby shower really bugs me. I can't even go to other peoples because I am so mad at them for not coming to mine and I will never throw one for anyone now since no one could do it for me.

I felt bad because my best friend and Mom put a lot of money & hard work into the shower! I held one for a friend 5 yrs ago, and over 40 rsvp'd and only 9 showed! I know how frustrating it can be for sure! It's a lot of money to throw one and then have no one show :( Keep your chin up and try and forget about ignorant people! In the end, you win because you'll be the one with a beautiful little baby :) <3 |

I'm still pissed. Especially after 30 people told me they were coming. It wasn't even so much about the gifts but all the work my hostesses did to prepare. |
