RANT!! My OB called me, left vm to call back, office closed!

I just want to complain! 28 weeks pregnant. I did my glucose tolerance test Tuesday. Today (Friday) at 2:55pm my OB called and I didn't answer in time. I listen to the voicemail, it says give the office a call back. I call back, and their voicemail said office closed. Now I get to worry all weekend if I passed or failed! If I failed I will have to do the 3 hour test, how will I ever survive a 12 hour fast?? I can't sleep through the night without getting up to eat! AHHHHHH!

	Comment from Kitten90 » Posted Sep. 20, 2014 11:18am I had to fast for my one hour test! No food or drink (except water) after midnight. It definitely sucks but they get a more accurate result that way. Not sure if this is normal or something you can expect because I've never heard anyone else say this (I passed my one hour, barely) but during the test I felt drunk... I'm assuming it's from your blood sugar spiking after drinking that stuff.

You don't necessarily have to fast for 12 hours - but it will definitely up your chances of passing. Also watching your carbs in the two or three days leading up to the test...It stinks! I feel your pain!
