Weight Gain? Helllloooo~~~

I AM supposed to gain weight during pregnancy, right? I'm pretty sure that's how this worked, but either that scale in the bathroom has been telling me, sweet sweet, lies or I am yet to actually gain a pound since I finally managed to stabilise myself a few weeks ago.
While I'm sure that there are women would love my problem (is it a problem?), it's disconcerting all the same. Most start to show some sort of gain in the second trimester if they didn't get it in the first, and yet here I am. It's worrisome and were it not for the occasional KICK connecting with my cervix I'd be clawing my way up the drapes.
I'll probably be even happier once I can feel the kid in more places than just... well, down there, but until that point, I'll have to be satisfied with that.
As it stands, I have some nine days before the next midwife appointment... I think I can wait until then to talk to them about it. I think...
...Oh, come one, kid - must you practice the cha-cha slide there?!

 | Comment from Sianny » Posted Jul. 22, 2014 12:11pm I'm avoiding the scales as I'm putting on rather fast since I finished with the worst of the morning sickness. Fingers crossed I don't go over my start weight by too much but I'm just so hungry all the time now |

So far no throwing up and no weight gain...puzzling to say the least but doctor isn't concerned so I guess I'm not gonna be! |
 | Comment from hopejosh » Posted Jul. 22, 2014 10:36am With my son I only gained 7 pounds and most of that was after 24 weeks. My doctor wasn't concerned and I gave birth to a healthy 8lb 6oz baby boy. If you're concerned, speak with your ob. |
