Weight Gain? Helllloooo~~~
By prinder » Posted Jul. 22, 2014 5:57am - 291 views - 3 comments

I AM supposed to gain weight during pregnancy, right? I'm pretty sure that's how this worked, but either that scale in the bathroom has been telling me, sweet sweet, lies or I am yet to actually gain a pound since I finally managed to stabilise myself a few weeks ago.

While I'm sure that there are women would love my problem (is it a problem?), it's disconcerting all the same. Most start to show some sort of gain in the second trimester if they didn't get it in the first, and yet here I am. It's worrisome and were it not for the occasional KICK connecting with my cervix I'd be clawing my way up the drapes.

I'll probably be even happier once I can feel the kid in more places than just... well, down there, but until that point, I'll have to be satisfied with that.

As it stands, I have some nine days before the next midwife appointment... I think I can wait until then to talk to them about it. I think...

...Oh, come one, kid - must you practice the cha-cha slide there?!

I'm avoiding the scales as I'm putting on rather fast since I finished with the worst of the morning sickness. Fingers crossed I don't go over my start weight by too much but I'm just so hungry all the time now

Still no weight gain here either. It still seem abnormal to me. With my first I was sick and still gained 12lbs by this time. So far no throwing up and no weight gain...puzzling to say the least but doctor isn't concerned so I guess I'm not gonna be!

With my son I only gained 7 pounds and most of that was after 24 weeks. My doctor wasn't concerned and I gave birth to a healthy 8lb 6oz baby boy. If you're concerned, speak with your ob.
