Secret? What Secret?!
By babyhemo106 » Posted May. 20, 2014 9:57am - 243 views - 4 comments

Ok, so it's only day 2 of me finding out I'm pregnant and already I can't seem to keep my mouth shut about it! Tom asked me to keep it a secret as it's still very early days and I said I would... Until I got into work this morning that is! I'm just too darn excited!!

I only told 2 people, both who I'm very close to and hopefully won't go around telling anyone else (especially the big boss lady). I felt like if I didn't share it with someone other than Tom, I would have exploded!! Well, that's my excuse anyway.

I know its very early days and I know Tom is just being cautious for my sake but I just have to be positive and believe that its ok to tell people as this pregnancy is going to hold and we'll have a beautiful baby at the end.

Am I silly for telling people?! Possibly. Do I care?! Most definitely not. Will I tell Tom I told other people?! Hell No, that's definitely a secret I can keep - for now anyway!!

I could never really keep a secret. I figured if I had a miscarriage I would need to tell certain people what the hell was wrong with me so I had no problem telling them I was pregnant. I am an "open book" kind of person anyway so I totally understand your need to tell people. CONGRATS!!!!!

My partner was the same, i am glad i didn't tell everyone when i lost my little man at 10 weeks! I told my closest friends who knew we were trying and those people are the ones i would have told if i had miscarried, Just be sure if you do tell someone that you would also be open to telling them you have miscarried, i would have hatted explaining what happened to everyone, And remember that your partner has his reasons but you also have the right to be excited and enjoy your pregnancy!

Having a baby and being pregnant is a great experience. If you chose to shout it from the rooftops then go ahead. I think Tom is just trying to protect you if anything did happen.

I actually found it was easier to tell the people we had told the bad news then trying to act like it never happened to those we hadn't. Hoping for a sticky bean for you x
