Yesterday I fainted and oh boy was it weird. I've never fainted before in my life so didn't really know what was happening at first and the fact I was out in public at a Village High Street event made it soooo much more embarrassing.

I guess it was kinda my own fault as I hadn't eaten anything, but in my defensive it was only around 9am when it happened and I never eat that early (due to feeling nauseous until around 11am). It was very hot which also didn't help but now I'm wondering if I should tell the doctor or not.

I've already been referred to an Obstetrician due to a blood clotting issue I have so don't really want them to get all freaked out by something that was probably my own fault... Decisions, decisions.

Tom was very heroic, he managed to grab hold of me before I did a face plant into the ground and he even got me a bottle of Coke and a Twix to bring my sugar levels back up... He's such a good boy!

I really hope it doesn't happen again and I even made sure I ate breakfast this morning even though I really didn't want it.

Oh... and besides all this I've been told I'm Rhesus negative so have to have the babies blood group tested in a few weeks AND I've not been immunised against Rubella.... Me and this poor kid are having a rollercoaster of a ride at the moment!

In my very early pregnancy, I would get dizzy and almost black out just moving around our little apartment. That must have been a real shock to both of you; I'm glad you're alright.

Def. keep something to nibble on with you when you're out and about, and keep water handy at all times. It can't hurt and plus Tom won't have to worry about leaving you to find something - though hopefully you won't have a repeat. Hugs!

When I was anemic with my son I spent most of my 20 weeks watching the world turn blue and vanish, to wake up to a crowd of concerned people leaning over me.
Try sipping a milkshake through the morning, I found it stayed down better with morning sickness so maybe this will keep your sugars up.
Mention it to your health provider though just in case it is something more then a rough morning.

I passed out in a grocery store at 16w- first time I've ever fainted in my whole life too!! Come to find out my blood pressure dipped really low (which is weird because my BP has always ran on the higher side when pregnant). Good luck!
