stomach roller coaster today

This morning I started with severe nausea and vomiting. I ate a bowl of cheerios, and threw it up, so I ate a smoothy, and again it came up, even the crackers after that. I went to work at 11, and hugged the trash can all day, and was unable to help any customers without gagging and heaving. They sent me home at 2.
I went and got a milkshake at my husbands request, and I was amazed it helped!! I couldn't eat very much, as my stomach is small right now from lack of eating, but it was good, and filling, and helped make the pain and nausea almost go away!
only mild nausea as I picked up my son, and made dinner. I was so hungry at dinner! I haven't had an appetite in so long, it was such a strange feeling! I had to eat very slowly, but i ate my whole little portion!! so far I am feeling full, a little indigestion, but good. no nausea, knock on wood. once my food is a little digested, I will attempt a glass of water. I have been dehydrated all day, as i was unable to keep fluid down much of the early day.

Comment from rennaly » Posted Apr. 23, 2015 7:03am Poor you! Great that milkshakes work for you. I also could handle lemonade much better than just water, sport drinks are also very good because they contain glucose, salt, and potassium to replace lost electrolytes.
Comment from Brandavir » Posted Apr. 22, 2015 5:58pm Thank you! I sound like you, nothing makes it better, but hopefully the milkshakes will keep helping! I am making sure i get juice and water, whichever feels better at the time!
Comment from Kitten90 » Posted Apr. 22, 2015 5:53pm Definitley just keep sipping on whatever liquids you can! With my last pregnancy milkshakes were the only thing that settled my stomach. Ginger, crackers, you name it, all made it worse lol. Hopefully you don't have to deal with this part for much longer =) |
