Well, I finally ordered a support belt / pregnancy girdle. My nurse has been telling me to for a month (2 visits) It arrived today, so I don't have too much experience with it yet, but so far it does seem to be helping with my back pain. My hips and groin are still very painful, but at least, for right now, my back isn't so bad.
i keep thinking, with how huge I already am, and all the pain i'm in, how will I ever make it the rest of the way! I still have 3 more months to go!
Heartburn has finally set in really bad. I knew it would eventually. Tums are nasty, and make me gag, and only sometimes work, so I am mostly just suffering with it during the day. I did discover that you can drink Baking Soda! Mix a little in water, and just drink! The recipe I found said 1/2 Tbsp in 1/4 cup, and then wash it down with another 1/4 cup fresh water. Be prepared to burp a lot for about 10 minutes! (imagine baking soda in vinegar) But it works, I swear! Thanks to it, I can sleep at night! Or at least not have heartburn at night...
Sleeping is another adventure. I have found I sleep better if I don't eat a lot at dinner. I eat a big lunch, and then just light dinners / snacking until bed. That way my belly isn't so uncomfortably stretched when I lay down. I'm also blessed that Ana doesn't wake up much at night, only when I get up to pee, and she settles down pretty quick afterwards. Hopefully she will mostly keep this pattern when she's born!!
