Prodromal labor

I finally called the triage nurse, because I have been having contractions for about 3 days, on and off. Most feel "crampy" but a few have felt like "real" contractions, how I remember them with my son. She was wonderful, and told me that it sounded just like prodromal labor, which is early labor that starts and stops, usually around the same time every day. She basically finished with, use my best judgement as to when to come in, it won't hurt to get checked.
So I looked up Prodromal labor, and it sounds exactly like what I've been experiencing! It also looks like I could be at this for a while, but knowledge is power, and now that I know what this is, I can roll with it!
I am keeping a "journal" to help me keep organized, and for my Dr if he has any questions.
My only concern when I called is that my daughter is moving a little less, and not as aggressively when she does. The nurse and I agreed that she is also probably exhausted from all the contractions, poor baby! I am to just continue to monitor her movements as well.

Maybe I will have an October baby!!!

Here is a good link I found! I hope others will find it useful!

Glad you have an answer. Sometimes searching Google is a good thing. Other times, I had wish I just didn't look, haha. I'm no expert but I'm sure the combination of the contractions and her getting bigger and taking up more space is why she's moving less. Good luck to you!
