Found out on 4/22/15 I have gestation diabetes. Started taking my blood sugar 4x a day on 4/29/15 and on a special diet. I get an ultrasound on may 12th and then again at 36 weeks. Started to go to doctor 2x a week for Biophysical and Non-Stress test. Today (5/28) had contractions from 8:30a and continued through lunch so the doctor wanted to check me. I am dilated to a 1 and my BP is a little high 150/82. I go back tomorrow for my regular appointment and testing I just have to monitor the contractions intensity and frequency as of now. I will be induced a week early if I do not go on my own by then. I'm being induced June 23rd, one week early. Lost my plug 6/16 in the evening.

 | Comment from stickybean1976 » Posted Apr. 29, 2015 12:12pm I just gave birth 2 weeks ago and had GD. Diet controlled; everything worked out good and I've lost 45 pounds now after giving birth that's below my pre preg weight. It's amazing how bad sugar really is for our bodies. My baby never measured over size with the GD. It sucks in the hospital at birth though the little one had to have heal pricks every hour for 24hrs to monitor. All good though and all over. You'll be fine :-) |
