Uncomfortable

I'm now remembering (not that I ever really forgot) the discomfort that comes from just being pregnant. I know the 2nd trimester is supposed to be so much better. I guess my 1st trimester wasn't that horrid, so this is almost the same, just with less nausea. And, my boobs hurt all the time. Thank goodness I already had huge bras from my previous pregnancy. I cannot imagine finding time with work and a toddler to go get fitted for supper skinny, yet super huge bras. My clothes are all in between right now. I switched to maternity jeans weeks ago to have a more comfortable waistband against my sensitive tummy, but the butt is too big because I have such a tiny bump in front. I wore a normal shirt today, because they still fit, but I was pulling it down over my rotund little belly every time I walked somewhere. And... Today my stomach and back hurt if I didn't sit with my back rigidly upright. I had to do a lot of computer work, which sucked for sitting properly. Also, I've got gas today, which never contributes to a good mood. Who am I kidding? Flatulence happens everyday. My digestion is just that much worse right now. I hate it. Also, I really want to feel the baby kick more often, but I know what that means. It'll be keeping me awake at night with it's midnight tap-dancing sessions. We welcome all the crazy signs and symptoms as we seek our bfp and sticky little bean, but it is kind of a pain to put up with growing a little human in your body. Okay. I just needed to vent a little bit. I'm really excited about this baby and all the stages, but the waiting is tough and even tougher when I don't feel that awesome. I kind of have residual effects of two viruses in a row, I didn't drink caffeine this morning, and I didn't sleep well last night. All those alone are enough to cause some discomfort, but put it together with pregnancy, and it's a little more annoying. Hope everyone else out there is feeling good/happy. My weepiness from the weekend seems to have gone away, at least. Oh, and I posted a new pic collage for this week in my bump gallery. Love online blogs/social networking. Another thing I'm really looking forward to, good distraction, is the Superbowl on Sunday. Yay!

ish, not wish. Stupid auto-correct. It's still typing blobs instead of boobs, too.

Mostly my boobs hurt. My nipples are sensitive if I touch them, but compared to the pain of any compression against the breasts as a whole, the nipples are nothing. I think it started around 12 weeks-wish. I don't know, seems like my body takes about 3 months to process things. I think I was waiting for the cup size change forever, then it just took over too quickly. Do you have pregnancy books? I found that reading tons of them from the library was really helpful to know what to expect when. I devoured them. Don't bother buying any. They are relatively quick reads and become repetitive when you get more than a couple. Just check out a few with pretty pictures, return them, check out a few more, and you'll be good to go on all the crazy possible symptoms. Hahaha. I love research when no one forces it on me. Such a love-hate with information. This is why I was a good student despite my boredom with textbooks.

So happy you're in the second trimester! I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable, but it's helping me to know what I'm in store for. Is it your boobs or nipples that hurt? Wow! I knew pregnant women got uncomfortable, just didn't realize it was so many changes. I'm glad the viruses & weepiness are gone. I can't wait to get to your stage, but I should be careful about what I ask for, right?! Have fun watching the game!!
