So cold (possibly insenstive material)

Everyone says that I'll be so uncomfortably hot being due with a summer baby. I can't wait to be hot again. I don't know if it's my low body fat % or the thyroid disease, but I can think of very few times when I have been hot (unless I was on vacation in Mexico or something). They're like, "just you wait." I'm like, "I don't think so." Warning, TMI: I gained about 35 lb with my son. Probably a good 5 lb of it was water weight from hypertension/edema at the end. Still, I was only 152 lb tops. I was NOT HOT, ever. I know it was April, but let's face it. I live in the northwest. It only gets hot around here after Independence Day and often not till August. I know I will be uncomfortable during those last few weeks, but will the weather be to blame? I doubt it. I got all excited when I found out I was having a summer baby. I never wanted a summer baby, but now that he/she is coming, I've got all these maternity tank tops and short sleeve shirts waiting. Too bad I have to cover up even my sweaters with sweatshirts these days. And scarves, lots of scarves. Oh, the waiting. Warm weather, return to me. My son is already so filled with cabin fever. I hate even going to the park, where I freeze my butt off watching him play. I hate how much television we watch, but that's all I'm good for during the winter. Thank goodness I'm still exercising some at work during lunch breaks, or I'd never go outside. Another thought, my new little one might not have to be wrapped up so tightly in pajamas and blankets, after he/she is born. Fine. I almost never saw my son's little toes at home during those first couple months because we always had to wrap him up so tightly to keep him warm. Sorry to all those women that get too hot too easily. And sorry to all those women who live in warm or freezing climates, who wish for mild winters like we get here. We really have it good here. I'm just weird. I'm turning into my mother. I never wore wool socks until now. She's always wearing long underwear, too. I've not gone to that extreme, but apparently thyroid function plays a huge role in regulating your temperature. Darn autoimmune disease. Stop attacking me! I feel old enough already. (Sitting by the wall heater as I type.)

Hah, I live in south Georgia with a Sept 1st due date... NOT looking forward to summer time late 3rd trimester, haha. It's miserable enough in the summers here when you AREN'T pregnant! That being said, don't feel bad for wishing for warm weather and being glad you're having a summer baby. Anyone sensitive enough to be offended by that probably needs to grow up a bit, haha. Everyone experiences things like this.. :)

Chin up! Summer is soon approaching!

Oh my! Maybe we could do a home exchange for a month! I feel so sorry for you. In the "winter" here I feel like you do now. I'm south and it's nice & hot here. I wake up stripped down to undies & tank top & love it when the temp drops to 66, but my dh is freezing. However, from what I've heard, you don't want to be caught 152 lbs & pregnant in this >100 degree summer weather!! I see pregnant ladies here in the summer & feel sorry for them. They can barely breathe at 8 months in other seasons...smh. I'm not sure which is worse =). xx

I've noticed being cold all the time when I normally like it about 65 in the house. Now even 75 feels freezing! Lol. I get told the "you're gunna be so miserable crap" as I'm due in August, but I doubt it. I'm looking forward to it actually.
