30 weeks 75% complete 70 days to go

My countdown looked so pretty today. I had to share it. There's something about 30 that is mature and even and complete sounding. Maybe that's why I didn't mind turning 30 last year. It just feels nice. I guess finding out I'm pregnant less than two weeks before my 30th birthday was nice, too. How about a Bumpdate entry for 30 weeks? It's going to be kind of a conglomeration of other templates I've seen and the order might be jumbled, but it's kind of fun for a change:

Size of baby: a large cabbage

Weight gain: ~22 lb. I was so steady and slow, but now it's creeping up at an alarming rate.

Stretch marks: pretty much only the ones I have on my legs from puberty

Sleep: Not so awesome. I wake up at least once a night, don't go to bed early enough, and often get woken up by Cameron because of an early morning nightmare. After going out to see The Avengers: Age of Ultron, last night, DH climbed in a twin guest bed next to Cameron's trundle bed (at my in-laws). I climbed in later (hoping to not disturb Cam). Lots of action/fighting dreams, tiny bad mattress. And I got up for good at 4:55am. I know how it sounds, but I'm fairly happy this morning.

Maternity clothes: Mostly maternity, but I own a few flowy tops and loose bottoms that I can pull off, especially things I bought post-partum with Cam or found recently at thrift shops. I'm feeling more limited right now, as the early pregnancy options are not doing it anymore. I tried to wear some baggy shorts yesterday with a button and zip fly. Nope. The bump is too low to even button them underneath it. Draw string skirt for the win!

Best moment of this week: Hmmm, besides making sex fit into our schedule a couple times... Seeing Cameron run up to DH yesterday morning, give him a big hug, and say, "I love you, Daddy." We parents live for that sort of thing.

Worst moment: Hearing my boss say, "You're still at lunch?" Man, she made me feel like a slacker on Monday. NOT cool.

Nursery: Sorted through last weekend and gave away lots of Cameron's baby clothes this week. Moved the plethora of girl clothes into Cameron's room and out of our bedroom. Boxes and bags of baby stuff don't really have a place yet. Cam is sleeping in the crib for now. Plan to give him my nephew's old racecar bed sometime this year. Still overwhelmed by the idea of putting another human in our apartment with all her accoutrements.

Miss anything?: Energy, alcohol (really wanted a Cinco de Mayo margarita), sleeping comfortably, leaning over comfortably, running longer without tiring

Movement: Baby girl is sooooo active right now. She was going crazy during our movie date last night. At one point I even got punched down low while getting kicked up high. Can feel her little body now, not just the moving appendages!

Cravings/aversions: I guess I crave sweets sometimes, but not too sweet. Umm, aversions to anything I've eaten very recently. I want variety.

Starting to show?: Yes! A lady tentatively asked me at a church event on Friday if I was expecting. It was pretty cute for how far along I am. A random friend of my MIL's coworker asked for my due date when we said hi at the park yesterday. Kind of an odd thing to ask a stranger, but I guess it's pretty obvious to most observers. I'm otherwise small with big boobs and a belly. Most likely a baby in there. Hahaha!

Gender: Girl (Let's hope we didn't misread the ultrasound because I have been giving away all my boy clothes, received tons of girl hand-me-downs, and my mother-in-law is currently knitting 3 pink sweaters!)

Symptoms: Acid reflux if I drink water around the time I eat, especially spicy or sweet food. I've got chewy Tums in my purse and chalky generic Tums at home. They seem to do the trick. I get sore and uncomfortable in any position for too long. I just feeling bigger.

Belly button in or out?: Out for most of the pregnancy. It popped right away!

Labor signs: Nope.

You ladies are the best for reading my novellas. :P Your telling me, mogchi! I have no trouble keeping my weight down normally, and during the first half of the pregnancy, too. However, toward the end of the 2nd trimester, I all of a sudden started gaining a couple pounds a week. I'm finally eating for two appetite-wise, also. I'm craving bread and crackers.... I know it's supposed to happen, but it's still kind of weird to see those numbers on the scale. I just hope that I don't start retaining too much water, like I did with Cameron because that makes me swollen, and then jewelry, shoes, etc. don't fit anymore. I was up about 35lb by his birthday. Probably on track to hit that again. LOL!

Oh wow, you are getting close! I hope I am as good as you and only gain 22 lbs at that point, lol. Kinda hard to control! Love the update!

I love this bump date entry! Very nice to catch us up. Those are going to be some lovely sweaters. I do hope we get to see them.

Something funny: when I first read the "22 lbs", I thought you meant your baby (in your belly) was currently 22lbs. You should have seen my face, lol. Happy Mother's Day!
