Update HCG results
By Kate0406 » Posted Jun. 10, 2015 4:46pm - 266 views - 6 comments

My nurse said that my HCG results had doubled but were higher then they would expect for a person who is 5 weeks pregnant, so, she ordered a ultrasound for tomorrow morning to see what is going on. She said are you sure your only 5 weeks along I said I know I ovulated on may 14 and then I had a ultrasound that confirmed it. Does this mean something bad or that it could be twins? Any one with this experience? I should have results by tomorrow afternoon on what they find. I still have the peach/pink discharge usually at the end of the day. About two days ago I had really painful cramps..I could have sworn I was going to miscarry but so far no evidence of that. I need to breathe I don't know what to think or expect!

My hcg levels were always high, so I kept hoping for twins...but nope! Haha. Maybe it is for you though! :) I wouldn't worry, I think it's odd that the nurse would have called you to come back in. Any update?!

I have read high HCG may mean twins but could also just mean singletons... also read that high HCG levels may predict it is a girl! With my scenario, I did a lot of reading and research. Your numbers are great!

Super baby hopefully best of luck.
PS I wouldn't worry about molar pregnancy too much it's 1 in 1000 odds and the HCG levels go from like 2000 to 50,000 in 48hrs my OB explained all this to me in depth. Hey maybe you have two little beans. I hope all works out for you, x

Hopefully you just have a super strong baby in there =) When I was 6w pregnant with my daughter the doctor in the ER scared me by saying that ... they said with levels as high as mine were it was normally from either a molar pregnancy or twins. Turns out I just had one super baby lol =)

Now I'm afraid there won't be a heartbeat or something. I need to relax and enjoy the scary ride. But yes I'm so glad they more than doubled. Go baby go! :) I was floored when she asked me if we could do an ultrasound this week.. I said wait what? I don't have to wait until July 24th?! I'm game!!

I think it's great your levels are so high! Maybe it could mean twins, but could just be really healthy baby, I don't have experience with it myself. I would take it as good news though!! FX and can't wait to hear what the ultrasound has to say :-)
