went with my mum to visit my cousin's one month old. she was so damn adorable and so damn small! she mostly slept the whole time we were there, which was fine since when she was awake she cried most of the time (i'm in for enough of that already!). so precious though. i'm really glad we went.
i think the best part though was the drive up. my mum hasn't said much since we told her about me being pregnant so i figured this was going to be awkward, but it was nice. we talked about how i was when i was growing up, our pet peeves about how some people parent, and even talked about how i'd set up our second bedroom (currently an office) for the new one. months ago i became absolutely enamoured with this incredibly over-the-top stroller that i just had to show her. it's like the be all and end all of strollers, and of course i never expected to actually buy one. but i think now she's sold herself on it! hah. here's hoping she wants to pay for it cause what i'd pay would probably only cover the rain cover and the car seat adaptor. damn, baby stuff is an f'ing rip!
on the way home i got a call from a nurse at the recurrent loss clinic who was looking to do my background interview for my appointment next week. i asked her to call back in 10 minutes since i'd be home then, but now it's over an hour later and nada. hopefully they call back tomorrow cause i'm keen to know what they'll ask.
all in all a good day. got zero work done, but who i was kidding anyway to think i could work while still at home visiting with family?
