first ultrasound

Today i went for my first ultrasound at 6 weeks 1 day.
The gestational sac is measuring at 6 weeks 5 days but the baby is only measuring 5 weeks 4 days.
Not that we could even see the baby all we could see was the yolk sac measuring 0.30cm.
I was hoping to see more but i guess i should be happy anyways.
I'm confused by the dates though why would there be two different ones?
Has this happened to anyone else before?
I was told i need to go back in two weeks plus get another blood test to make sure all is well.
I know my baby is strong my Hcg levels are 5 weeks were nice and high and apart from becoming slightly anemic and needing to take iron tablets there shouldn't be anything wrong. Am i not eating enough?
I'm confused.
