Why are people trying to ruin MY BIG MOMENT??? :'(
By Mamaof2soon3 » Posted Apr. 19, 2012 2:07pm - 297 views - 4 comments

I'm getting really emotion about this. I just got back from a BBQ with my husband..and everybody came up asking about the gender...As soon as we told them it was girl..They said SORRY....SORRY? I am trying not to be sad. It's extremely difficult especially because the only people who know we are expecting are the soldiers my husband works with. So this is the first response I get to hear? . My husband and I of coarse would have loved to have a boy..but, God has different plans for us. We are blessed to have the privilege of raising 3 little girls. Why would people respond with something so callas? My husband tried to tell me that "Most men are afraid of girls and what comes with them"... "and because most men want and think they are entitled to a boy..its just their natural response." He did not condone this action..but, was really trying hard to make me feel ok... :( Well they can cram that natural response..!! because its making me so sad. Celebrate the life of a child..there isn't anything to be sorry for if all you are trying to do is CELEBRATE! :( The nerve......

knicole thank you. I dont like coming on here complaining.., but I've had a very emotional day. I'm all smiles walking in to his work..feeling like I'm glowing..and all we were getting was negative responses toward the gender. I left in tears. How do you look at someone that just cut down your un born child ..and hold a conversation with them afterwards? I just was at a loss for words. Which isn't normal..I'm usually one to stand up for myself. SO..thank you Knicole..I needed some mama power speech to bring my spirits up a bit.

Peanut..Thank you too! I'm really not sure how people can bring themselves up to openly be disgraced by your child. hat wasn't all of it..but then I would begin getting into Army talk..and their nonsense if I expand any further. They were being completely hateful all together. All babies are blessings. Hugs...Thanks ladies!

WOW!!! REALLY!!! That's a horrible thing to say to someone especially after having been through a m/c. Everyone should just be happy that the baby is healthy and that everything is going great with the pregnancy.

Thats awful!! I would NEVER say that to anyone!!! another girl is a blessing! heck any baby is a blessing.. a blessing from God and you were meant to have 3 girls!!! heck my step mom had three girls.. so when I moved in as a teenager there were 4 of us girls in one house.. teenagers.. yikes. But obviously God knows you can handle it!! you can handle anything!!! and then look at my husband he has 4 BROTHERS.. not a single girl running on my husbands side there... its because every guy wants that boy... as dumb and as you said callus as it is people are ignorant. Especially guys they have this stupid thing about spreading their seed, heck when we found out it was a boy his friends were like patting him on the back like "atta boy" like he just won some stupid championship or something.. it was honestly kind of sickening. I am sorry hun.. don't listen to them! hang in there and keep your head up!
