6-13-12 15 w 5d - Belly Button Pain Controlled!
By ayoung102 » Posted Jun. 13, 2012 1:51pm - 264 views - 0 comments

I was having some terrible weird pain just to the right side of my belly button. It was happening almost every day. Mostly after a dinner out. I decided to get to the bottom of it. I searched babycenter, whattoexpect and this site. After reading about 200 posts on babycenter I came across the solution. It wasn't because I was too full. It was because I was leaning over the table - aka bending forward - for long periods of time. I very carefully watch what position I am in now and I have not had 1 pain since!!! 7 days and counting!

Apparently these pains can strike any time. It looked like most of the posts were from mama's that were around 20 weeks prego. So be very conscious of how you sit and you will never have to experience these pains.

Other symptoms: I am still tired and get a few brief headaches every now and again. But more annoyingly my dry eyes make it hard to focus 8 hours a day on my computer screen, and my nose is pretty stuffy. Having a stuffy nose in summer is just plain wrong. It is mostly when I first wake up but sometimes it will hit at work. So when do you get your energy back?

I have been walking now. I am obviously showing now.. although it could still pass for getting chubby. The definitely help my mood, energy and not feeling as heavy. I could certainly eat better but I have cut down on the junk I was consuming to curb my queasy in the first trimester. Now I indulge mainly on popsicles. Of course I am not going to turn away a piece of pizza either, but only have 2 pieces instead of 3 or 4.

My weight gain makes me nervous. At almost 16 weeks I have gained about 8 lbs. It seems this is a little high according to other posts on the internet. I know I can't diet so I figure walking will at least keep me in some kind of shape throughout these next 5 months.

Above all I am just hoping to keep myself and my baby as healthy as possible. Reading internet posts only makes me feel bad for everything I am doing wrong... I guess I should be celebrating everything I am doing right.
