Labor & Delivery Story!! :)

Contractions started at noon on Thursday. They just felt like cramps so I was getting excited. The cramps lasted all day but they stayed about 10 mins apart. I knew I needed to get some sleep that night and luckily I did! The contractions slowed down and they really weren't bad at all.
Friday I took it easy and watched TV, took a nap and timed contractions all day. At 3pm my hubby called and told me to call my doctor. The doc told me I was 3 cm dilated, the contractions were 4 mins apart, and I could go to the hospital now if I was ready. We went home and ordered pizza and ate. I went to the hospital at 6pm with contractions 3 mins apart. Although the cramping was strong it still wasn't as painful as I expected.
Epidural was inserted at 8pm. My doc broke my water at 10pm and at 12pm doc said I was at 8cm. I pushed from 2:15am to 4:15am. It took so long because baby was "sunnyside up". I had to have an episitomy but after the cut was made the baby came out in the next push... all of her! It was fantastic.
The healing part was the worst. The labor and delivery was not bad at all. Pushing was HARD though. I needed oxygen because I kept feeling nauseous. However I do live at 9000+ feet altitude. It was amazing and I can't wait to do it again.
Even though my pregnancy had a lot of stressful times, my baby is easy and calm. :)
